One of the first questions we get is whether a home needs a regular cleaning or a deep cleaning. The honest answer depends on the condition of the space today, not on which one sounds better.
A regular cleaning is maintenance. It covers the surfaces you see and use every day: dusting, vacuuming and mopping, wiping kitchen counters and appliance fronts, and cleaning sinks, toilets, tubs and mirrors. Done weekly or every two weeks, it keeps a home from ever getting out of hand.
A deep cleaning is a reset. It goes after what builds up slowly and is easy to stop noticing: the brown ring around a drain, scale at the base of a faucet, grease on the range hood, dust packed into air vents, grime along baseboards and door frames, and everything behind and under furniture and appliances.
A deep cleaning takes noticeably longer — often two or three times as long as a regular visit in the same home — because most of the work is scrubbing by hand rather than wiping.
So which should you book? If the space hasn't been cleaned thoroughly in several months, start with a deep clean. A regular cleaning can't catch up on months of build-up, and you'll be disappointed with the result. Once the deep clean is done, regular visits keep it that way with much less effort.
A deep clean also makes sense before guests or a holiday, at the change of seasons, after an illness in the house, and before you list a home for sale.
Not sure which one fits? Send M.J.C Cleaning Service Company a few photos and tell us the last time the space was cleaned top to bottom. We'll recommend the right service and give you a free quote. Call or text (959) 229-7687.
